Architecture Scope

The scope of the Central Texas Regional ITS Architecture can be described in terms of: 1) the size of the region and jurisdictions covered (geographic scope), 2) the planning or time horizon, and 3) the variety of transportation services that are covered. This scope is defined in the context of adjacent and overlapping regional ITS architectures.

2025 Update of the Central Texas Regional ITS Architecture

Time Frame: 2025–2045

Geographic Scope

The Central Texas Regional ITS Architecture covers the geographic scope of the six county Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) region. The six counties consist of Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson.

Service Scope

The Central Texas Regional ITS Architecture identifies the planning, stakeholders, inventory, ITS service packages, operational concepts, functions, interfaces, standards, and agreements that are related to ITS in the Central Texas region. A written report has also been prepared for the Central Texas Regional ITS Architecture that includes a Regional ITS Deployment Plan Section and a Use and Maintenance Section.
