Surface Street Management for Central Texas Regional ITS Architecture Roles and Responsibilities

Stakeholder	Role and Responsibility
City of Austin	Provide emergency signal preemption for the City of Austin's Fire and EMS vehicles, the Travis County's public safety vehicles, and public/private ambulances.
	Receive Wide–Area Alert information from other EOCs in the region.
	Remotely control traffic and video sensors to support incident detection and verification.
	Disseminate traffic related data to other centers and the media.
	Coordinate HRI signal adjustments with rail operators.
	Operate network surveillance equipment (CCTV cameras, field sensors, etc.) on City of Austin streets.
	Operate programmable school zone flashing beacon systems for City of Austin schools.
	Operate traffic signal systems on City of Austin owned streets, including traffic signals, sensor systems, and pedestrian crossing systems.
	Operate Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons (RRFBs) for non–motorized road users.
CTRMA	Operate network surveillance equipment (CCTV cameras, field sensors, etc.) on CTRMA toll roads.
	Disseminate traffic related data to other centers and the media.
Municipality/County	Coordinate HRI signal adjustments with rail operators.
	Operate network surveillance equipment (CCTV cameras, field sensors, etc.) on agency's roadways.
	Operate programmable school zone flashing beacon systems for schools within the agency's jurisdiction.
	Operate Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons (RRFBs) for non–motorized road users.
	Operate traffic signal systems on city or county owned streets, including traffic signals, sensor systems, and pedestrian crossing systems.

SH 130 Concession Company	Operate network surveillance equipment (CCTV cameras, field sensors, etc.) on SH130 toll road.
