Description

A traffic management center (TMC) or traffic operations center (TOC) located in a municipality or county within Central Texas not specifically called out in this Regional ITS Architecture that controls the traffic signal systems and other field equipment owned by the municipality or county. It communicates with ITS Roadway Equipment and Connected Vehicle Roadside Equipment (RSE) to monitor and manage traffic flow and monitor the condition of the roadway, surrounding environmental conditions, and field equipment status.
