Freeway Management for Austin Regional ITS Architetcure Roles and Responsibilities

Stakeholder	Role and Responsibility
CTRMA	Provide HOV lane management for state owned highways. Provide travelers with real-time pricing information for HOV lanes via agency DMS.
	Dispatch HERO service patrol vehicles.
	Operate and collect tolls on CTRMA tolled facilities.
	Coordinate traffic information and traffic control with other regional TMCs.
	Operate network surveillance equipment (CCTV cameras, field sensors, etc.) on toll roads.
TxDOT	Coordinate traffic information and traffic control with other regional TMCs and the statewide TMC.
	Provide security monitoring of critical infrastructure for the State.
	Provide traffic information to regional transportation agencies and the general public through traffic information devices (DMS, Highway Advisory Radio, HCRS, Texas 511, etc.).
	Operate active traffic management on state owned highways.
	Operate network surveillance equipment (CCTV cameras, field sensors, etc.) on State owned highways.
TxDOT TOD	Coordinate traffic information and traffic control with other regional TMCs.
	Operate and collect tolls on TxDOT tolled facilities.
